Payam Ghassemi Payam Ghassemi recieved a B.Sc. in Robotics Engineering from Shahrood University of Technology in 2011 and is currently pursuing a M.Sc. in Mechatronics Engineering at University of Tehran. His bachelor thesis was about implementation of soft computing methods (such as Neural Networks and Neuro-Fuzzy Systems) to solve Inverse Kinematics Problems of serial manipulators. His first attemp to explore the world of robotics goes back to 2004 when he was a member of a RoboCup team taking part at the competitions at the RoboCupJunior league (national level). His main interests in the different branches of robotics lie in the areas which are focused on enhancing human life (Robotics for Humanity). Thus, Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) and Humanoid robots are his primary research topic interests. In our lab, he is studying new and state-of-the-art methods of dynamic balancing and full body push recovery to improve the balancing capabilities of NAO H25 robot.
